Ku‘ulani Keohokalole
Chief Executive Officer
Kuʻulani Keohokalole (she/her/ʻo ia) established People Strategies Hawaiʻi in 2019 with the vision of growing the capacity of organizations to foster community-minded and people-oriented leaders. She trains, consults, and supports organizations across sectors and industries who are looking to transform around the ways they engage people to achieve their mission. Kuʻulani was grounded in the traditional Native Hawaiian cultural practice of ho`oponopono by her grandmother, who was a community-based practitioner. The art of reconciliation, and making things right, guides her approach to facilitation and consultation with organizations.
She has received the distinctions of Pacific Business News’s “40 Under 40” in 2020 and Hawaiʻi Business Magazine’s “20 People To Watch for the Next 20 Years” in 2023. She is a sought-after speaker on topics of organizational culture and leadership, diversity, equity and inclusion, and Hawaiian values, speaking for Amazon, 3M, Microsoft, Hawaiʻi Business Magazine, CivilBeat, the YWCA, and others.
Kuʻulani holds a B.A. in Ethnic Studies and Women’s Studies from UH Mānoa, an M.A. in Education Leadership, Politics and Advocacy from New York University, and an Executive Certificate in Organizational Consulting & Change Leadership from Georgetown University. She serves on the board of directors for Parents And Children Together (PACT), the Council for Native Hawaiian Advancement (CNHA), and The Catalight Foundation.
Tiffany Chang
Partner, Leadership Coach
Tiffany Chang (she/her) is a self-awareness and self-compassion coach for leaders. She helps leaders deepen their intuition by tapping into their multiple intelligence centers: head, heart and gut. Clients see results in getting unstuck, gaining clarity, building confidence, having more energy, and experiencing transformation (not just change) in their lives. Tiffany brings over 13 years of experience in Learning and Development and Organizational Development. She has led teams in director/AVP level roles, and contributed to organization-wide initiatives in a variety of sectors including banking, retail, healthcare, real estate, and non-profit. This foundation helps her understand the demands that organizations and employees face in today’s world.
Tiffany holds a Master’s degree in Learning and Organizational Change and a Certificate in Organizational & Leadership Coaching from Northwestern University, and and has served as an instructor in Northwestern’s Learning and Organizational Change Master’s degree program.
Mary Tam
Partner, Co-Facilitator
Mary Tam has over 20 years of experience in the pursuit of social justice, having worked for various organizations in fundraising, programmatic, and grantmaking capacities. Previous employers include Amnesty International USA, Net Impact, and the State Bar of California. Through her consulting practice, Mary now works with organizations to achieve outcomes as they relate to goals, impact, and connection. With a focus on stakeholder and community engagement, she helps clients arrive at fully-informed decisions, ensuring those decisions also translate into action. Her work has assisted clients in shaping program design, strategic planning, and operations.
Born and raised on O’ahu, Mary was taught to leave beach houses (and places in general) in better condition than when she arrived, and has kept that lesson with her through life. Mary developed her professional career in California, and has an MBA degree from San Francisco State University. In the simplest terms, Mary is dedicated to the reduction of suffering, inequity, and exploitation. She values integrity, open communication, community, cultural context, and authenticity, and integrates these values into her approach with nonprofit partners.
Elena Farden
Partner, Co-Facilitator
Elena is a dedicated, service-focused professional with over 12 years of nonprofit experience in strategic visioning, community engagement, governance, and advocacy. Since 2018, Elena has provided over $51,000 in pro bono services to Hawaiʻi nonprofits that have helped organizations connect impact in their program storytelling towards funding and guide culturally-relevant dialogues for improved procedures and programming. Elena holds an MBA in nonprofit governance, is a certified facilitator through the International Association of Facilitators, and is in her dissertation year for her doctorate in Indigenous Leadership and Organizational Development. Outside of trying to decode secrets of nonprofit success, youʻll find Elena as the ultimate supporter of Indigenous fashion designers, at the karaoke mic, or reigning as the queen of K-drama marathons.
Giana Glorioso
Executive Assistant
Giana Glorioso (she/her/siya) is contracted to manage our essential administrative functions, including client communications, project management, and accounting, as well as marketing and material design. She brings years of experience as a frontline lead and customer service representative in both the US and the Philippines, and has a passion for excellence and creating a great client experience. Giana’s keen expertise in bringing structure and efficiency has streamlined our workflows, allowing us to reach a wider client base and create more consistent impact.
